For a ceiling or wall mounted xfrmr, say 45 pr 75kva what the most common equipment used to lift it into place? A duct lift?
A chain fall requires a safe attachment point, and at least minimal rigging skill. (Of course it it possible to mess up with a forklift or Lull too.)In a really tight spot you can use a chain fall. Just remove the top of the transformer and install a sling with a couple of shackles.
True. We've never had a problem with that type of rigging. To me it's scarier lifting a transformer with a duct lift. The chain fall method is more foolproof when set up correctly.A chain fall requires a safe attachment point, and at least minimal rigging skill. Your shop owns a duct lift or you borrow from tin knockers?Yes a duct lift with a 1000 pound capacity for a 75 kva.
