We got a 45kVA 3ph outdoor yesterday. 1 man-hr to unload/inspect for damage, another 1hr (30 min for 2 people) to move into shed (for security) until installed. Probably 15 minutes minimum to gets tools to unbolt from palette, another 15 to do it. 15-30 min to throw away/recycle packing. 3 of 10 hrs for unpacking/inspection. But if this thing had to be carted 400' up 70 floors of elevator, I could see 10+ man hours getting burnt in a heartbeat. Moving a 375lb xfmr with two people is not easy lol (forklift is too big to get to the pad unless fencing and other obstructions are taken down/cleared). Will let you know how long it takes to set this on the pad (that we formed, poured, and screeded ourselves).
At the WWTP I worked at, maintenance would have moved the xfmr in place and unbolted from the palette. Not saying the electrical would be a cakewalk by any means, just that much of the gruntwork would be done.
