zip tie to stand off's --- 334.30 compliant?

Hi, I am rewiring an old house that is built on 2.5" x 1.5" lumbar so, I can not staple the NM to the stud and maintain 1.25". The best solution I could come up with is to use stand off's and zip tie the NM to the stand off. I am concerned that the zip tie will pinch the NM too much. I would appreciate the insight of professionals and inspectors. Thanks, Ron
