Members I am noticing a disturbing trend here lately.

The use of inappropriate language seems to be on the rise here.

Let me remind all of some of the rules you all agreed to when joining the forum.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violate any law.

To that end please exercise restraint when:

Making sexual innuendos. (Better yet, keep them to yourself)

Selecting your Avatar

Composing your signature.

Simply replacing an 'S' with $ on the front of a four letter word is not acceptable.

Keep in mind we our guests in Mike Holt's place.

Post as if your Mothers or Daughters will be reading it. :)

Steeping down from the soap box, Bob

I agree Bob. On the job site or on the open sea is one thing, but here "G" should be the rating.

Even if we're describing the money paid to a hit man?

$ + hit = ___ . Well, you know. :roll:

I don't think any of the moderators would have a problem with using words that must be used.

The issue is using profanity for profanity's sake.

Posting here is not the same as a private conversation between friends. When you post here you are literally posting internationally to an untold number of people.

JMO, not necessarily that of the forums owner. Bob

Agreed. :)

Hanging out here is nice, because I have to restrict my profanity. Makes it a little easier to restrict my profanity elsewhere - otherwise, I'd probably utter a profanity every other word.

It would be really nice to keep this forum clean. I try to walk a christian path through life. Sometimes the devil make's me curse when wrestling with 500 mcm into a weather head. But my higher power help me to overcome things and get the job done. I'm not here to preach to you, just want you to know. Please consider others. Peace. :D

I was trying to hold back with the first few post. but the litle devil on my other shoulder has taken over...again.

All I'm invisioning is the Church Lady from Saturday Night Live, hooking up with, the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld, and the results are clear

If there is a problem with a post or avatar, take it to the individual personally. not into a thread.

I'm not religious, I smoke, drink, cuss, gamble & surf porn. I prefer a pole dancer with implants, to a girl in a flower dress singing in the church choir. But I won't judge you, if you chose not to walk my path.
However, I will respect The moderators desire to police a Disney forum bordering on censorship.

It is your ball, and I still want to play. 8)

I would assume that I know Mike H better than almost anybody here at the forum. He is very religious, and he is not a big fan of cursing (although he used to swear quite a lot). I echo Bob'sd sentiments, in that this is Mike's place, and knowing him as well as I do, he would not like it to turn into job site language.

BTW: Anybody here that knows me knows that I have as foul a mouth as anyone, but this isn't the place for it.

Thanks Bob, and good call on bringing it up.

This forum will remain a shadow of it's former self, without the No BS avatar. I will miss it sorely.

But the Disneyland mentality has nothing on Salt Lake city establishments, which booted me for not having a sponsor. Visitors must be formally sponsored, or perhaps married into the community, before participating in it after dark. And, we do have a few moderators here from Salt Lake city.

Next time I see the daughters of Salt Lake flying off like a bottled-up cork, maybe pause is in order to screen for a last name, and a papa that matches either Combination inspector, instructor, or Mike Holt moderator.

Perhaps more expressive liberties would be earned, after the moderator's family feeds my pot belly, short, and inferior breeding, then raised another set of grandchildren.

Yes Roger 'The Man' is oppressing you.

Your being asked not use profanity on this web site. 8)

It is highly unjust.

The line-item editing I've read recently, has given me the highest respect for a recent moderator who signs as "Bob".

Instead of sending entire posts & threads to oblivion, earning disrespect if not enemies, this moderator shows the consequences, but helps these messages play nicely with the other animals, at the same time.

With many english speaking natives expressing more frustration with the writing process, and less repertoire of qualified proofs to support ideas, the consequence of moderating could be endless.

At some point the wiser has recognized that a disqualifying reminder is adequet and effective notice of the owners policy. Brovo to Bob, who's voluntary wisdom has my highest respect and cooperation.

What exactly are you insinuating here?

I guess from that inference, you plan on judging me. Well that's all right, you're too far away to do much damage.
