Tankless water heater

Went out there today, yep, it was a 17 kw. Turned on all of the faucets and the shower. Second stage on water heater never turned on. Turned off the second stage breaker, tried it again, water still plenty hot. Noticed all new faucets, they had put in low flow fixtures. I’m just going to leave them on the one 40 amp circuit. Problem solved.
Is building occupied yet?

More water standing in lines means less temp rise needed as water in the lines will be ~ room temp. Start getting enough water usage and your incoming water might be colder and maybe harder to keep up with. Not saying this will happen but something to think about.

Yes, he is remodeling three of the units, this is the first of the three. Ran all of the faucets for a good 15 minutes in front of the owner. Had him check the shower temperature, and he was happy how hot it was.
