I am reminded of a statement by Justice Potter Stewart in 1964 concerning pornography when he said "I know it when I see it", similarly, I can't define electricity but I know it when I feel it.
And you can see it too, sometimes. And smell it. And hear it. And feel it....... right up to third degree burns!

Oh, my understanding is a shared electron charge (and/or neutron) that's forced forward
along the atom's outer valance shell.

Electricity is obviously a very fine type of smoke that can pass through the molecular structure of metals and other conductors. It's obvious since anytime you let the smoke out of the wire (the electricity), then everything quits working.

I remember years ago, I went to drink water from the fountain at a movie theater, and, knowing that I get zapped in the winter, I was careful to touch only the plastic knob.
(I can still picture the off-white plastic knob with "EBCO" etched in it.)
I'll never forget the zap I got on my lips. POW! Lesson learned.
