Is this installation a violation of the rules found in the NEC?
It's normally accepted here provided the conduits are supported (or buried) within 18" although the use of the threadless connector may not be the letter of the law {314.23(F)}
...... and made a deeper ninety for the right conduit,
...
Wait, I am an idiot, you mean the one in the ground. Doh!!!!
Not supported, sure! One or three times, I don't believe the earth is considered as a means of support.............
What do you do when you trench in a raceway then?![]()
And the threadless connector is where I am going with this.It's normally accepted here provided the conduits are supported (or buried) within 18" although the use of the threadless connector may not be the letter of the law {314.23(F)}
I have put a raceway in a trench, but I have never trenched inside a raceway.Sounds difficult?:grin:
480sparky, Ken if I may,But the pipe is on the earth, so how is it supported if earth is not a support?
