The specs for this customers car says in the manual it requires #6 Cu, 90 degrees with a 60 amp breaker. Romex is only rated for 60 degreesand 55 amps. I would have to run conduit with #4 all the 100 feet through this existing house. I was sure planning on romex. Boy, there goes my estimate. It is Tesla manual, she wants full power. It is very clear in the manual. Help. Do you all have to run #4 ?

Not sure but if I remember correct the Tesla charger I recently installed, the terminals will only accommodate to #3. I do know the unit says terminals to only use copper conductors, that was a 60A unit.

The on line manual is showing only 3 wires, so I can use SEU. But I'm surprised, because I thought it would need a neutral as this wall connector is WIFI ready....
No, only 2 hots and ground, no neutral required. SEU would work but would need copper, might still bust your budget just saw the price of one, almost $600.00 for 6awg CU - 150ft.
