When splicing a circuit in a service panel to run to a subpanel, do we splice the ground too or leave the ground in the bus bar ? thank you

300.3(B) will enter into this. If the feeder conductor to the subpanel is not in the same raceway or cable as the branch circuit conductor, the neutral for the branch circuit must originate in the subpanel.
