42ka rated breaker

Not those numbers, but there are GFCI with series rating with specific breakers feeding them, like the panelboard main.
 
Depends on what you want. If it is 1 pole, 15 to 30A, Siemens has a single pole 120V bolt-on version GFCI breaker that is rated for 65kAIC; BF115AHH (change the 15 to 20, 25 or 30 respectively). But the same thing in 2 pole / 240V is only rated for 22kAIC.

But where are you finding a need for GFCI protection on a circuit with that much AFC? Don't confuse "Ground Fault" requirements for main breakers over 1,000A with "GFCI", they are different terms.

I looked but didnt find what you are saying. Any link to that Siemens 65kaic? Engineer has calculated fault current at panelboard of 33kA.
