Already damaged buss bar that was cleaned and reused when it should have been replaced.

My first thought too... May have been warped and that interfered with the new connections.

Already damaged buss bar that was cleaned and reused when it should have been replaced.

First go around, was before we stepped in, so walking in blind, buss was perfect, bolts melted. So aside from replacing breaker, we installed Eaton factory bolts, and torqued every bolt as we had system offline.

If bolts were melted, the buss was damaged. No way some of that heat never transfered to it.
