Same here. We've used those many times and they work fine.
I think that if they're listed for the application then they've been tested so there shouldn't be any problems. To me,"Don't bother me with the facts, my mind is made up" applies. I always hated them and viewed them as potential problems but, like others, I never had any problems with them,
I guess that's why I asked the question. They seem a little "cheesy", but I have no reason to think they would not work. I'm sure we've all looked at some Listed Product and wonder how on Earth it got approved. To me,"Don't bother me with the facts, my mind is made up" applies. I always hated them and viewed them as potential problems but, like others, I never had any problems with them,
See if it is actually listed. It seems to me from memory that the 60-30 is listed but the other ones aren't.I think that if they're listed for the application then they've been tested so there shouldn't be any problems.
The one in the photo says UL stamped right into it.See if it is actually listed. It seems to me from memory that the 60-30 is listed but the other ones aren't.
Define temporary.Interesting stuff. I know some of you are Listing Junkies (a good thing). I went to the Mersen website (https://us.mersen.com/en/products?search_text=fuse+reducer) and it said that the other brands of fuse adapters are only listed for temporary use. Thoughts?
Thanks again.

Mersen is the only place I can find saying this, and maybe its all sales bs, but found this:Interesting stuff. I know some of you are Listing Junkies (a good thing). I remember pricing them out once, I think it was to go from 400 down to 200 and they were so expensive it was cheaper to replace the disconnect. Has anyone else found them to be crazy priced? To me,"Don't bother me with the facts, my mind is made up" applies. Fuses used to be cheaper for sure.I remember pricing them out once, I think it was to go from 400 down to 200 and they were so expensive it was cheaper to replace the disconnect. Has anyone else found them to be crazy priced?
I meant there fuse reducers themselvesFuses used to be cheaper for sure.
As I recall, they tried to get that into the code, but it was rejected. I am not finding anything in the UL guide information that suggest the listing is only for temporary use.Interesting stuff.
