I know I’m painting with a broad brush. I know most of the code panel members are probably 1 million times smarter than me but still what they’re doing is not really protecting people just making it harder for the electricians more expensive for the customers and just lines the pocketbook of the manufacturers sure sounds like a Ponzi scheme to me if I’ve ever heard of one

Have you ever submitted a public input to change the code, or a public comment to challenge a change made in the first draft of the code?

Thing is are trades pretty safe now days the code did it job- it saved life- now it’s just a bloated document started out good with a mission, now it’s just a money maker you for someone pushing this crap

The use of listed supports PIs were submitted by UL. The substantiation were all like the following with the exception of changing the wiring method reference. Note that they did not cite any real world problems that would be solved by the use of listed products.
If the cables are sagging, they didn't put in enough supports. What does that have to do with the staples being listed or not? How about if you fish AC/MC/NM its not supported then especially in a vertical position? With all the things they could fix why do they waste time on things like that?
