I never understood that reasoningthe poco kw rate for single phase was much cheaper.
The warehouse down the road that he bought later had an open delta three phase service. He had it changed to single phase too, to get the cheaper rate. It was previously a sewing plant, but all he needed was lights.I never understood that reasoning
energy charge shouldn't really change, I can see different base charges depending on equipment needed to deliver the service. But at same time how much does it cost them to have a 75 kVA single phase pot on a pole vs three 25's? The 25's are probably one the most common pots they keep in the warehouse as well.I never understood that reasoning

So power company now says 1000amp single phase is to hard to get a transformer for. Has anyone had any work with 120/240 3 phase?
