All outlets on a circuit in my older home recently failed.
In the process of replacing receptacles I discovered that
that at each outlet there is 120 from hot to ground, 110 from neutral to ground
but only 8 to 20 from hot to neutral.
Can I assume that there is 100+ volts on ground? What could cause this?
thanks
Bruce
