I don't think a "Clipping" on to a Al. neutral bar is a good idea IMO.




Probably...all of them :grin:

Considering that all ckts are now essentially GFCI or AFCI ~ who cares...the ckt's neutral goes right to the CB...the clip on the CB is making contact with the neutral bar.


I could be wrong on the configuration..I haven't RTFM :smile:

Yes, I don't mind losing power on a MWBC, It's losing the grounded conductor
I'm worried about. Panels that are located outdoors, the Al. bus bar is
going to oxidize and cause problems. Great for us, but as a design I think it's a bad idea. Just look at it, does a clip over a mechanical screw look
like a good connection that will last over time and load? It's just something
I wouldn't sell or recommend when my name is on the install or design
choice, Listed or not. JMHO
 
Is there any point in ignoring T310.15(B)(6) and installing 200A services with 3/0 CU conductors on a typical SFH?

I had an inspector tag a service. He said I used the wrong size wire. I ask for the code he has in front of him and get him to the page# with the table. He said "OK, use 3/0 next time".

It's not worth my time. I stock 3/0 & 3 ga. I don't stock 2/0 & 4 ga. It's not about ignoring the table, it's about the value of my time.
