I need to step up the voltage from 208 to 480V transformer for an AC load of about 350KVA. I am assuming I will have to go with a Y to Delta transformer.
The problem is the safety ground at the equpment if I go with a Y to delta transformer. The question....Can I get Y to Y step up transformer so I could ground the equipment thru the Y center tap of the ransformer? Any suggestion on past experience from someone who has gone thru similar jobs?

Thanks,

So it means we use the center tap on the secondary as the safety ground connecting to the motor case.

Yes, as long as you properly connect it to a properly-sized and made grounding electrode system, too.

And, yes, you should nolt connect the primary 'neutral' connection to the source neutral; let it float.
