3 way switch A is the feed side B will be the light on the fan C will be the fan motor. A person comes in the room at switch A and flips it. both B and C allow their loads to energize. the person goes to the second loaction and turns off C the fan. Then later they leave the room and flip switch A again. Now they just turned the fan motor on and the light Off.

I like the remote control option better.

3 way switch

Your fan / light requires 3 wires regardless of switching (1 nuetral common, 1 fan & 1 light). Not sure what your installation is that you need a 3 way but you could use a standard 3 way with the single wire intended to feed 1 light, feed a duplex single pole unit (1 fan, 1 light)

One other possibility:

Change both switches to single-poles; 1st switch for light, 2nd switch for fan.

Use one (black) traveler to feed power past 1st switch to 2nd switch for fan.

Use other (red) traveler as switch leg from 1st switch, past 2nd switch, to light.
What? No diagram? 480 is showing you up BIG time.

There is nothing you could accomplish with this wacky setup that would be better than just feeding both the light and the fan from the common terminal of the load side 3-way switch and then just using the pull chains to operate the fixture. That way you can turn them both off when leaving the room from either direction.
