Have a very elderly woman living in an RV (permanently). 200amp pole mounted panel. 30 and 20 amp receptacles also mounted on pole running everything on property. BUT, there is only the 200A main breaker in the panel! These other devices, including the RV itself, are not protected from overcurrent.
The landlord will not shell out a dime and she does not have the money to upgrade the panel.
My question is, is there an adaptor, like an outdoor 30amp surge protector but one that has a circuit breaker/fuse to provide overcurrent protection for the male RV plug?
I have not found any in my searches. I see plenty of 30A portable surge protectors but (correct me if I'm wrong) they do not offer overcurrent protection. Standard indoor surge protectors have built in fuse/circuit breakers. I am looking for the same thing @ 30A.
This will be a charity. I will be purchasing this device, if I can even find one, for this woman as I can't leave this situation the way I found it.
Thank you very much for your help.
P.S. I understand that the wiring from the main panel to the 30A receptacle is not properly protected and is a hazard/serious concern.
