Have a very elderly woman living in an RV (permanently). 200amp pole mounted panel. 30 and 20 amp receptacles also mounted on pole running everything on property. BUT, there is only the 200A main breaker in the panel! These other devices, including the RV itself, are not protected from overcurrent.
The landlord will not shell out a dime and she does not have the money to upgrade the panel.
My question is, is there an adaptor, like an outdoor 30amp surge protector but one that has a circuit breaker/fuse to provide overcurrent protection for the male RV plug?
I have not found any in my searches. I see plenty of 30A portable surge protectors but (correct me if I'm wrong) they do not offer overcurrent protection. Standard indoor surge protectors have built in fuse/circuit breakers. I am looking for the same thing @ 30A.
This will be a charity. I will be purchasing this device, if I can even find one, for this woman as I can't leave this situation the way I found it.
Thank you very much for your help.
P.S. I understand that the wiring from the main panel to the 30A receptacle is not properly protected and is a hazard/serious concern.

Was only there very briefly, long enough to look from the outside deadfront not removed. with only the 200A breaker, they have to be lugged improperly on the load side of the beaker, or worse lugged onto the topside incoming.

I would think that two readily available double breakers would solve the problem.

The panel has 1 slot for 1 breaker. the main 200A breaker. I know how to fix the problem correctly,... by replacing the panel...cant do that for financial reasons.
Just looking for the cheapest fix to help this woman.
Does anyone know of an item like I described above? An adaptor, like a surge protector, with male and female ends, that has an overcurrent device incorporated. Like in the picture, but with a fuse

If you can't replace the 200a breaker, how about a nipple into a 2-space (or more if needed) WP breaker enclosure?

A plug-in solution is likely to be removed the first time the breaker trips.

Yes those are common but will not solve the issue of a 30 amp plug protected by a 200 amp breaker. The solution here is to have a 30 amp breaker added to feed the 30 amp rv outlet

Why not tap the 200 amp main to an adjacent small 2 space panel. They're like $20.

Without checking the code anyone know if 30 amps tapped off 200 is ok like a foot or two away?

I looked it up. 10 foot tap rule is 10%. So that's 20 amps or more. So 30 amps is fine.
