Yeah that is what I was saying in the post above your last one. I guess I could use it for 250 amps although I don't think I have ever seen a service that size. 225 and 300 I have seen but not 250.

I think the device must be listed (not 100% sure), but I have wondered if the 250 amp base was for the 100% rated breakers? I know UL 489 says 80% unless listed, but is that the entire device assembly, as in a combo panel, or will it suffice if all the parts are listed and the connections are installed correctly?

I think the only way you can use the base at 200 amps continuous is with a 100% rated breaker at 200 amps or a 225 amp, or a standard 250 amp breaker.


You could have a 200 amp continuous load with 50 amps of non continuous load and still use this meter with a standard 250 amp breaker. At least that is the way it seems to me.
