I have installed a 400amp underground meter socket with two 200amp panels back to back, drove two 5/8 copper clad ground rods 6 feet apart, wired the panels with three 3o thhn copper. What size should the wire be for the grounding electrodes? I used #6 thhn copper. According to the code 250.66A this is what is allowed. The village where installed failed this because it needs #2 to the grounding electrodes. Is this true or false. The next thing the inspector told me was to drive a 10' 3/4 inch single ground rod with #2 thhn copper. The village does not have any additional amendments. Please help.
