MSRP: $795
Fleabay price: $325-450.

Crazy. I can understand how somebody misheard 480 / 3-phase as 483 phase, but to then add "any voltage you like" just doesn't make sense.

As for the 483 phase colors, you could adopt the system used in some European countries. Every phase is brown. Problem solved!

Rotation? We don't care about no stinkin' rotation! :D

That the supplier will give you equipment for ANY voltage YOU(user) want just let him know what it is.

You gotta think like an engineer..... 'cause that is exactly what was meant, just came out wrong when it was said.

So, we have you convinced that engineers actually think? Ha Ha. Fooled you. All we really do is look stuff up in books written by other engineers, then write our own books and retire rich. ;)

The content of thinking, speaking and writing are all take different form. When we think there is a lot of shortcut, there are incomplete sentences and if you would hear it, it would sound jiberish to most. When speaking, a lot is conveyed by the inflection of the voice and the body language. Writing needs to be the most conscise because ALL the information is conveyed via these little black squiglies on a white surface.

I heard it once said in half jest: autism is the ultimate level of engineering thinking.

Those Engineer monkeys......

Those Engineer monkeys......

You do that much??? :D :D You might have heard this one before, but here it is again....

A tourist walked into a pet shop and was looking at the animals on display. While he was there, another customer walked in and said to the shopkeeper, "I'll have a CAD monkey please."
The shopkeeper nodded, went over to a cage at the side of the shop and took out a monkey. He fitted a collar and leash, handed it to the customer, saying, "That'll be $5000."
The customer paid and walked out with his monkey.
Startled, the tourist went over to the shopkeeper and said, "That was a very expensive monkey. Most of them are only few hundred dollars. Why did that one cost so much?"
The Shopkeeper answered, "Ah, that monkey can draw in AutoCAD - very fast, clear layouts, no mistakes, well worth the money."
The tourist looked at a monkey in another cage. "That one's even more expensive! $10,000! What does it do?"
"Oh, that one's a Design monkey; it can design systems, layout projects, mark-up drawings, write specifications, some even calculate. All the really useful stuff," said the shopkeeper.
The tourist looked around for a little longer and saw a third monkey in a cage of its own. The price tag around its neck read $50,000. He gasped to the shopkeeper, "That one costs more than all the others put together! What on earth does it do?"
The shopkeeper replied, "Well, I haven't actually seen it do anything, but it says it's an Engineer."

I'm a Design engineer that does AutoCAD drawings. A large amount of completed work leaves my desk, but no one ever actually sees me doing anything. I figure that means I'm worth the total of all the above. Time to go ask for a raise!

I'm pretty sure that Paul has told us on another forum that they have to use all brown conductors with phase labeling on each conductor in Europe.
