What exactly is a "Site-Isolation Device"?
The 547.2 def is unclear to me.

It seems it's just another word for disconnecting means.

I don't believe you can. 547.9(A) requires...

(4) Bonding Provisions. The site-isolating device enclosure
shall be connected to the grounded circuit conductor
and the grounding electrode system.

Even if you disconnect the load-side grounded circuit conductor, all the grounding is still connected to the line-side grounded circuit conductor.

I don't see that as a requirement. If it was a requirement I believe it would be found in 547.9(A)(3).
