Mystic...do you always make sure your pool water bonding fitting/device is installed below the pool water level?

I have seen water bonding fittings/devices installed at filter/pump location which is located above pool water level.

Lately, my pool equipment at jobs have been set well below grade of the pool so I've been installing the water bond fitting at the equipment level.

The attachment I posted in this thread, shows the fitting to be installed 3" below the water level in a suggested irrigation box. We have done that.
I'm not comfortable with the water bond kit that attaches to a surface skimmer, especially in an inground pool. Even though the fittings are brass, they will corrode over time, some quicker than others as folks really don't maintain water chemistry, and they need to be accessible for replacement.
