I opened an attic access today and found these gems.
All of the phone and tv lines were pulled to this opening. Here in the first picture you see the phone lines:
No longer will that piece of hardware be relegated to simply terminating grounding conductors!
Second, we have the tv connection.
Its kinda hard to tell in this pic, but what you have there is a grounding block w/ a #10 ground wire going to the sat. switch, then going nowhere. There is no ground connection to the service whatsoever.
What you don't see in the pic is a tag around these wires w/ the install date, name of the installer, and the name and address of the company that did it; the company is a local LV shop that advertises themselves as "professionals". Nice work guys. I think they've actually been in business longer than I've been alive. Oh and this job was done about 5 years ago; same house from the thread about the metal tape splice.
