The fuse, the larger earth conductor (ground), the shorter live and neutral conductors, the totally insulated leads to the device.
Ummm yeah. Maybe. I see the fuse as a PITA. And all our residential receptacles are tamper proof too. I do like the insulated prongs.
What about plug/receptacles for other currents, voltages and 3 phase? We have straight prong, twist lock and anything in between.

For residential it is almost always single phase 230Vac 50Hz. The plugs and sockets are 13A except for cookers. Industrial is usually 400V 3-phase 50Hz. My field was power electronics variable speed drives and mostly fairly large units at that. To that extent many were custom built.Ummm yeah. Maybe. I see the fuse as a PITA.
