You must be kidding..

I've never seen so much complaining about a product listed for rooftops, and NRTL tested for these environments per UL 1973 & 9540 standards.

Would you like it better if it was sold on Amazon with no NRTL listing, and perhaps no warranty?

I've looked at the patent, and I've looked for testing details. It may well survive the warranty period, but I think the concern is that this is a new product with no proven track record.

There's a reason I mentioned Austin, where the average high temperature in August is 97, as compared to L.A., where they apparently tested the product with an average high temperature in August of 79. I also mentioned Phoenix where the average July high temperature is 106. Austin might have low enough temperatures in the evening, but Phoenix's 41C average highs may well be too close to 45C for the product to survive in that environment.

One company has already deployed thru industry partnerships in several states, on flat-roof commercial and industrial markets.

Another company sells batteries compatible with most solar panels and racking systems, and partners with residential installers.

Regardless of how this market emerges my question is, if a typical residential Solar array fits <=6 panel modules on the roof, what can <=6kW of backup storage do. Will that run an HVAC appliance over night?
Name a company selling SolPad under module batteries. I was at their launch party, I have a very nice photo with the astronaut, and this company is just been vaporware for a long time.

I went to an open house at Yotta Energy three or so years ago. I haven't seen or heard anything from them since then but their website is still up.

I saw them at a renewable energy event a couple years ago and honestly I don't understand the attraction given all the issues already mentioned. Also, my impression is that many if not most installers hate to deal with electronics on rooftops.
