I agree. There is absolutely nothing wrong with Al conductors if used properly. Just like there is nothing wrong with using the backstabs on receptacles and switches.

I would imagine that the petroleum jelly that dad used to put on the car battery post terminals is kind of the same thing. If you don't have any noalox around. Add some red food coloring then it will look like the old kind of ox inhibitor.
