Another Mislabeled Circuit

I’ve seen that many times. 🤣

If homeowner agrees, best to label each receptacles and switch plate. The single little numbers from a marker book are small enough not to stand out much.

I've seen that a few times (much to the wife's displeasure despite the small lettering). Worked well til the 1st re-painting when the painter put all the covers in a pile :)

My father in law made kitchen cabinets for our first home. Not perfect, but the price was excellent. I marked the doors prior to MDSW staining them so we would know where to put them back. I didn't do it well enough. That was a puzzle to put back together.

As previously mentioned, my always "go to"... simple spread sheet, sized to fit the panel door.
Not as polished, as what was already posted... for each company's (Sieman, Eaton, etc.) sized panel...
And thus.. easy to edit & reprint in the future as needed.

Painters done that to me today, they took all the covers off, then randomly put them back on! I had labeled them because the original electrician had a lot of random switched outlets, and the owner couldn’t figure out the rhyme or reason.

And then someone decides to repaint the house, poof goes the marking.

Yup... agree! Gave up on the labels for individual plates eons ago.
My "page two", affixed to panel door, was simple floor level sketch, recpts / Lts.. numbered per room, R1, L2. etc., w circuit # adjacent to it. (C-5).
Seems complex, but after 1st one... mostly cut & paste for the simple resi jobs. Maybe that might help someone, I hope.
