where in the code does it say you have to use anti oxidant on aluminum cable terminations. Haven't found it , but inspector says it is in code,

I think that products like NO-OX are the sort of things that give people peace of mind. It does very little to improve the connection, but it makes most users and customers feel better.

this is so true, and ironic also if you notice that 99% of the people who insist on using it have never read or followed the directions.

Not the guys I've ever worked with. They treat that little two-dollar 8-oz. bottle like it has to last them the rest of their lives.
You're pretty likely to see me stick the wire in the bottle and grease it up like chalking a pool cue.
