Dang! If that other slab is your garage, it is almost as large as your house!

Actually the garage is only 15' x 25'. Just enough for our Buick Enclave with all the doors open and some freezers and shelves. The house is 2470 sq ft livable. Nothing too big, but not too small. Definitely an optical illusion. Here is the 2D showing the plumbing that I recorded before they covered it up. I can't wait for framing. Houses always look tiny when laid flat on the ground. I had to measure the footings and prove to my wife they made it the size we wanted. She was like "there is no way our house is this small." LOL

How thick is that pour? It looks very thick!

Looks to me like footing that rises above grade was poured first or even a footing, then a short wall, then the floor. Floor probably only ~4 inches thick?

So, footing was poured flush with ground, then an 8" thick stem wall was poured 16" tall, then the slab was poured inside the stem wall. Stem wall has 1/2 foam board as a thermal barrier on the inside.
