Article 450 Interpretation

Hi Guys,
Per Article 450, Table 450.3(B), does 1000Volts and less refer to the secondary voltage rating on the transformer? If my primary is selected properly per the table, then no secondary protection is required.

The secondary conductors will need protection regardless per Article 240 (unless it is a 2 wire transformer).

The "1000 volts or less" refers to the primary and secondary voltage ratings.

Just a tip, if I look at just Table 450.3(B) I often can't remember whether it's referring to secondary, or both primary and secondary for the 1000V limit. So to "cheat" I just look at the previous table, Table 450.3(A) , and see that (A) is for primary over 1000, with two columns for secondaries both over or under 1000V, so that reminds me that Table 450.3(B) is for everything (both) being under 1000V.
