Hire an attorney and make sure you get a clause in writing that they pay for the attorney.
That may not be such a good idea. usually the attorney works for the guy that pays him. we are not talking a huge amount of money here. a few grand tops. nothing special about this kind of deal. lets not get too wrapped up in making it more complex than it needs to be.

I was thinking the same for me. No renting papers no vote.

Your Quote: I hate when I see people take shortcuts!.

Why qualified people would concider this is beyond me. So some people can sit at home and make $500 a month while some Bozo does their work?

I don't think I took a shortcut to get my license.... I went to 4 years of school and I studied really hard for it.

Hey, I don't know about you.... but I am not rich...and if someone wants to pay me to use a license that I HAVE EARNED..and let some bozo do my work correctly. AND HOLD ANOTHER JOB.. I think thats fine so..

Pretty Standard in the DMV area

Pretty Standard in the DMV area

Cparrott,
Up until last week I worked the last 5 years for a largeest Security Comany in the area. DC, MD, and VA was my territoy and this is very common. Because security and fire alarm companies only work with low voltage permits.

The only part of these systems that are not we had always required the customers electrician to make the connection. Most security companies have highly trained low voltage tech's but only need a master to pull permits.

I dont know about other areas but it's pretty typical here. I think we paid our Virginia/DC guy 12K annually but he didnt cover MD. We also pulled more than a lot more than 35 permits monthly.

I hope your meeting went well. Just thought you may want a heads up form someone in the industry.
