Hi gang
We design for retail and regularly specify "ordinary" panelboards for tenant improvements across the US. Panels like 125A and 225A MCB, 30 ckt and 42 ckt, 208/120/3, 22kaic panels. Usually loaded with 20/1 breakers, with a few 2p and 3p breakers for RTUs, water heaters, etc. Sometimes surface, sometimes flush.

Was told yesterday by an EC (for a project in DC) that panels/breakers are 60 days out. But they have a source - an independent panel fabricator who presumably anticipated this shortage, and bought over $2M in boards/breakers/tubs. And this guy can supply way earlier. But at a price. Not sure of the price adder...Does not feel right to me.

Think 60 days is real???

I agree with post above , I’ve been trying to use MLO wherever I can on the design end to help the cause. Your current situation doesn’t seem crazy right now.

Interesting I suppose it depends how much they are of the gear they are fabricating.
If its just assembly of listed components yeah thats something any EC could have done.
But If they are fabricating any part of it, like making cabinets or 'tubs' then check that they are UL listed shop.

No, that doesn’t sound right to me.

Lead times I was given as of this week on jobs I’ve had to order for …..

Square D NQ - 133 days
Square D I line - 280 days
Eaton PRLN1 - 140 Days
Eaton PRLN3 - 260 days
GE A Series - 110 working days

It looked like things were getting better, but now seem to be getting worse again. SH says meter pan availability is bad.

QO panel I ordered Jan 3rd is supposed to be on my doorstep today.
