Bonding XFMR GEC to rebar for ungrounded system

Well it would depend on which electrodes are available. If it has a CEE, no rods would be needed. Yes of course rods are usually the go to electrodes if something needs to be installed like in an existing building where there is no UFER
Right. I land a rod anyway. Can't hurt.
 
You gotta understand I work in areas where the fire dept does electrical inspections. When they don't see a ground rod they flag it. They don't know anything about CEE/UFER, and my customer isn't getting their occupancy permit.... it's better to give them what they want rather than arguing NEC with a fire chief. Just sayin that if anyone else out there deals with this like I do...
