Is there an article that says:
- A? must be black (brown)
- B? must be red (orange)
- C? must be blue (yellow)

If I ran 12/3 MC/AC/NM into a 3? panel...am I limited to using only A? and B??
What if the whole job was done using MC/AC/NM?

The obvious answer is no. If you only used two wire cables every ungrounded conductor would be black.

I'm thinking about the bus itself.

You think two, three, four more inches of a very large conductor is going to make a measurable difference?

Let me ask this, do you run the cables at right angles to the building or the most direct route to the panel?

Hey I agree your way looks nice and neat,  I just don't think it can make any difference electrically.

The larger breakers go at the bottom of the panel ~ gravity has a certain draw on electrons and it pulls them right down to the bottom of the bus.

Do you[celtic] and minuteman do that routine about gravity together. You guys kill me .Add more icons so I can be sure when you're joking boys!!

LOL

That would take the fun out of it...imagine how hard it would be/is to say that (gravity/electrons) with a straight face in a meeting.

Hey Larry, nice job on the panels, but the writing on the NM has to go, ruins the whole nice look of the job.
But they come in oh-so handy when looking for a breaker with the cover off.

Also, Larry must have stock in the staple manufacturer.
No, but there are two cables under each staple except the largest ones, and there are several feet of cable between the pairs of staples and the next means of support, and they will remain visible, so I chose security over the extra staples and five minutes.

Okay, yes, I used two for the SER, and then I just got carried away. You happy now?!
