Residential Customer with a standby generator B&S, 22 KW. I haven't seen it.
They have a Symphony Power Management System that sheds loads as needed. I am not familiar with this system at all.
The issue is with Priority 2, Range. They get a fault code of some sort and the range shuts down and as I understand it, does not restart.

At 22 KW, I would not have worried about shedding the range.

Can someone give me a brief run down of this system?
Customer was going to talk to his spouse about details. He just knows the range shuts down and if the cook is not happy, no one is happy

Me neither, unless they really use it hard, but if used that hard it may not be something they want shed either. Most dwelling applications they probably don't use anymore than 2-4kW at a time with a range unless they are preheating oven and using all the surface elements at once.

Just to be clear, I presume your load shed system is what is giving mentioned fault code and not letting range operate? Or is there some fault code on range itself? I've had customer with oven that gives a fault code if it doesn't like the supply voltage before, this can happen if improper connection of the supply or maybe if it doesn't like generator voltage or even a response to a transient voltage. That code can be reset if it comes up but won't reset just by cycling power (at least with the one I encountered), you needed to go into a diagnostic mode to reset it.

I may need to speak to the spouse directly. IDK where the fault code is coming from.

eta. Talked to the boss lady. the code is coming from the range. They never had the problem before gen install. She gave me make & Model of range of which I will research later.

Need to go spray weeds first.

Does the range throw a code every time they try to use it when on generator power, or is it only when the load shed system drops the range?

Perhaps it could even be throwing a code when under utility power because of a problem with the load shed module, its wiring, or control.

Of course, the cook does not remember the code flashed and the manual only says to call for appliance repair with that #. No Indication of what those options would be.
Many home appliances anymore have a service data sheet somewhere inside the appliance. Usually just inside or even taped to back side of an access panel. It will often have diagnostic mode instructions, error code legend, etc. if it is an electronically controlled appliance. I have found that data sheet isn't always easy to find on line either, so you want to remember to replace it when done with it.

Sounds like the module is going bad or is bad. It's wired just like a disconnect. Feed in and feed out. If you don't want the range to be monitored you can simply splice the wires together in the Nema 4 enclosure and bypass the contacts. If not you'll need to replace the module (part #071051). Sometimes it's easier to replace the guts rather than the whole enclosure. With these modules there is a 5 minute delay whenever there is a power outage and also when the utility power comes back on. Hope this helps!

Thanks. That is more than I know as yet. I haven't made it over there and I'd like to figure out the 'why' because no one else has.

Hopefully the error is not because the range's user interface is permanently damaged from a loose neutral somewhere, something during the generator installation, or some other cause.
Have you tried bypassing the load shed module and then check if the range can be reset to make the error get cleared?

By passing the Load Shed has been discussed. At the moment I'm inclined to the range circuit board. That is what the error code indicates. Customer just needs to say Ok, bypass LS.
