As long as it's 90C wire, then yes, I believe you're correct.

I get that the wire ampacity is 14A and your circuit current is 13.8A.

Just so folks know where this is coming from. The ampacity adjustments in Table 310.15(B)(3)(a) Adjustment Factors for More Than Three Current-Carrying Conductors applies to conductors in conduit or conductors that are bundled for more than 24". If you derate your PV DC conductors to 35% of the rated ampacity you can put as many as you want in a bundle. Ref; 310.15(B)(3)(a). A #10 90°C conductor is rated for 40A and 14A at 35%.

But don't forget your temperature derate.
