Is it acceptable to come out of the meter channel with conduit into an LB that will be buried below the final grade by a few inches?
I could have access to it in less then a minute with a shovel if ever need be.
I want to go through the rim joist and this is the rare time that the rim joist is below grade.
A sweep would not do as neat of a job.
Capitol NO, I m pretty sure!!300.15 Boxes, Conduit Bodies, or Fittings ? Where Required.
A box shall be installed at each outlet and switch point for concealed knob-and-tube wiring.
Fittings and connectors shall be used only with the specific wiring methods for which they are designed and listed.
Where the wiring method is conduit, tubing, Type AC cable, Type MC cable, Type MI cable, nonmetallic-sheathed cable, or other cables, a box or conduit body shall be installed at each conductor splice point, outlet point, switch point, junction point, termination point, or pull point, unless otherwise permitted in 300.15(A) through (M).
(A) Wiring Methods with Interior Access. A box or conduit body shall not be required for each splice, junction, switch, pull, termination, or outlet points in wiring methods with removable covers, such as wireways, multioutlet assemblies, auxiliary gutters, and surface raceways. The covers shall be accessible after installation.

James, An LB below grade would not be" judged suitible for the conditions",

no more than it would be if in concrete. IMO, 344.10 does not support this

installation.
I was refering to the corrosion of the srews an the LB itself and duct seal if he was going to use rocks,I agree this is not applicacal. But I might still be wrong on the referance, Always willing to learn.

I would say maybe. I have seen some LBs that would have been below grade but they installed a window well and now it is not below grade. The only problem is that someone down the road may fill it in and then it would be a violation. When it it in the window well I see no problem with it.
