PayPal does not provide tracking numbers.... the seller does (IF they purchased delivery confirmation).

maybe im confused. i thought you are waiting for a package from UPS. every ups shipment has a tracking number which you should be able to get from the seller

He sent the package by US mail and did not give a tracking number and I don't want one either. I made it loud and clear a refund is the only option I will accept. I don't trust this seller. The first package made it to me in 2 days being shipped the same way.. US mail. I think they found this MAXIS at a garage sale missing parts to begin with.

sale ended 9/26.. I sent e-mail on 10/3.. he was out of town and sent it out on that day. I sent e-mail 10/7 looking for second box.. his reply... "It was sent UPS and will take a couple of days". The first box was sent USPS.. Priority mail. Seems to me he is stalling for time so I can't get a refund.

ok, so the missing box was sent usps postal service and not ups like it says here?

according to seller it was shipped USPS (post office) both times

Then delivery confirmation would have been optional. If he didn't get DC, he's SOL as far as PayPal is concerned. PayPal will give him 30 days to refund your money, or else they will take it out of his account for you.

Since he apparently didn't get DC, he's gonna have to fork over the money.

Bad part is, he may very well draw all the money out of his PayPal account before he's forced to refund your money. Then you'll start all over with PayPals guarantee.

I know that most stuff sent via USPS gets to it's destination, but I had one purchase from fleabay that took 6 months to arrive.

What seller had to say...

What seller had to say...

10/10/2008 09:26 PDT - Seller: I am sorry that you feel that this is somehow my fault. A Parcel Post package with U.S.P.S. takes an average of 5 to 9 business days for delivery. As of today, Friday 10/10/08 there has only been 5 business days past. Therefore I feel that you haven't given enough time for delivery and you are being irrational in trying to resolve this dispute. Evidently, you have not used EBay and PayPal enough to see how the transaction works. I am as much the victim here as you. PayPal has frozen my account until this is resolved and I don't have my money OR the item that was sold. I contacted the post office and they said it may be into next week before a delivery is made. After that delivery, I see no reason to extend this dispute any further. Thank you,

And that's about all the seller can do right now... his hands are as tied up as yours.

WIth his feedback, it shows he's sold more than he's purchased, so he should know after selling 109 items he should be getting delivery confirmation from USPS. If he didn't know before, he sure does by now!

I just received a MAXIS 3000 wire puller I bought on E-BAY for $1825.00 complete with Super Hawg drill motor. I have a total of 3 parts.. counting the motor. It is missing all the brackets and flanges that hook onto the male adapter inside the panel. Now I have to go through the process of returning the wire puller to the seller. Live and learn... next time I am buying new.

when i bought mine, i ended up paying $2,500 including tax in calif, but
that included 300' of 12,000 # tugging rope.....

so, it was a ok price you got it for.... if you ever get it all worked out....
it's a nice tugger, for what it'll do...... i'd say SIR makes a better one,
but they should, as it's $7,000.

most of the posts on this are about doing the ebay dance, and that isn't
what this one is about.... it's about maxis..... i also picked up their triggers
wireless pulling switches, for $1,500, from walters wholesale.

if you have never used these, you owe it to yourself to look into a set.
these are absolutely wonderful. i won't pull cable without them anymore.

that's not the part that impressed me, however. after i had used the
triggers once, they went on the shelf for a couple months. i took them
down to charge them before using them, and found they were dead.

didn't work. hosed. pffft.

and i needed to pull wire in the morning. i called maxis, and got one
of their guys on the line, and explained the problem, and that i needed
them in the morning... he said "oh, chit" and asked where i got them from.
i gave him the walters branch that sold them to me, and he said... hang on.

after two minutes, he comes back on the line, and tells me to go exchange
them at walters, and not worry about the paperwork, he'll deal with them
later.... i did, they did, and i had them to pull with in the morning.

he did this while driving on I-10 thru tempe, az. the receptionist put me
thru to his cellphone to resolve this.

these guys stand behind their stuff. it's well made, and works.
their customer service and product support is the best i have ever seen.

Update.. and the beat goes on..

Update.. and the beat goes on..

The E-bay saga continues. I sent back a box of Maxis Puller parts that was delivered and signed for on 10/27/08, by the seller. I refused second box of parts and had them returned to seller also. I notified PayPal that items were returned on that day. Paypal is STILL investigating and has not issued me a refund yet. They said I was intitled to a refund on 10/21/08.

I got an e-mail from the seller today claiming a box of "conduit dies" was not returned to him. This guy is playing games now because he lost the dispute. I insured the return box for $2000.00 and am waiting to see what PayPal has to say.

Most of you have had no trouble buying from E-Bay. This song n dance has been going on for over a month and all I have so far is $175.00 in shipping charges.

im a bit confused. did the missing pieces finally show up? were they shipped when the seller had told you they were shipped and this was the post offices fault?

If the second box eventually did show up why would you refuse it? Seems like you got a good deal and if in fact it did arrive late that surely was not the sellers fault. I could write a diatribe about a guitar amp I shipped to a guy who owned an import/export company in Austrailia, it was misplaced and took two and a half months to be located and delivered........sometimes it happens.....

The seller sent Maxis Puller in 2 boxes.. the second box came to me more than 2 weeks after the first box. By then I did not trust seller and decided I wanted a refund. He blames Post Office for second box taking so long to be delivered. First box came to me in a week.

If it wasn't the post office fault, then whose was it?

Shoot, even with the delay you got all of the parts.....that's a good deal for the tugger. I know you're going on principal and all, but principal isn't going to save you $2g's vs the price of a new one.

when did the 2nd box ship? was it sellers fault or the post office? once he gives it to them theres nothing anyone can do. Should have had him ship it ups or something with a guaranteed delivery date and real tracking.

Didn't I see that case on The Peoples Court?
