Hi,
I am getting a series of pressure sensors UL recognized, Class I Div 2.
UL told me they want to see the installation instructions.
So I included "Wiring must be in accordance with the Class 1 Division 2 wiring methods [Article 501.10(B) of the National Electrical Code NFPA 70] and in accordance with the authority having jurisdiction. "
Great - but UL said this is not enough information. The problem is our product has a variety of electrical connections, but does not include a conduit connection. So clearly you cannot run a conduit direct into the part, you need to install it into a box or some other acceptable method.
So I said that as long as the installer follows the NEC it will be OK, since no one could run a conduit straight into a part that doesn't have a conduit connection.
Well that isn't acceptable to UL, but they can't tell me what instructions I should give. They want me to list methods or sections from the NEC.
So I'd like to know what instructions you think I should give, and is there anything else that as an installer you would like to see on the instructions?
Thanks
