If I'm drawing this right than contacts A and D will see more of a draw than B and C, but still if this heater is rated at 58 amps the contacts should withstand the current. Back to my first question what type of coil is being used on this contactor if it is a lower voltage I would lean towards chattering being a problem.

Rod, the forum is for those in the electrical trades/industry, (see the forum rules) I allowed your thread because you were not directly asking a "how to fix this yourself" type of question, now I question my decision and must suggest you hire a local EC to assist you in trouble shooting this problem.
