Color code for a wye 415/240V service

IMHO just stick with BOY for both '400V class' systems.

If a facility has both and needs to distinguish at the color code level, then add a stripe.

How often will 480/277 and 416/240 share the same pipe? Same panel? Same building?

My understanding is this is exactly how its implemented.
Apparently computer equipment power supply manufactures wont support 277V, as is too niche a voltage, now some might offer it at higher price. In another thread a data center would need to swap out 900 PSU's to work on 277V..

I think the present use case is a big data center, they dont use the 416 for anything, they use the 240 for servers and lighting instead of 120/208
as 208 is now considered niche voltage, only US and Canada now,
The 480/277 is used as we typically do for HVAC, elevators, motors, parking-lot lighting.

This kinda reminds me of threads years ago where we speculated if LED would ever replace florescent.

Scratch that last post, I am working on a VFD that says '400-480V input' outputs 480, I never noticed that!
so yeah you possibly would not have any 480/277.
and stick with normal colors.

The last data center I worked on had 12.47kV for internal distribution, 416Y for the servers, 480Y for the building mechanicals, and 208Y for the general power.

I only worked in the medium voltage gear, so I don't know what color codes were used by the contractor, all of my wiring was grey SIS insulated with wire labels.
