2008 NEC applies

Green wire is #4 to copper water pipe

Black #6 goes to single ground rod

Several issues here. 2x4 does not look like PT, self tappers not likely to have enough threads, no green tape on black, they need to go to the grounding bar not just to the can, the screw on the one is going in right where the concentric is and will not last long.
 
OK, lumber is treated SYP

One of the replies states that the connections need to go to the grounding bar. Anyone disagree with that?
 
Also not that it matters here is the paint was not removed under the lugs. And #6 might be subject to needing protection #4 does not. Sharp edges from screw i believe are violation but do not know number

The grounding probably isn't OK the way it is per 250.8 - it needs more than 2 threads engaged on the screws.

Not sure about the connection to the enclosure instead of the bus. I'm assuming Jumper knows what he is talking about here. Does 250.30 (A) (3) not apply here??

The connection shall be made at the same point as the on the separately derived system where the system bonding jumper is connected.

I assume that's only for transformers derived supply, and doesn't apply to a utility connection??
 
Jim your posts are full of info that IMO, are your opinion and not code. Where does it state the wood needs to be PT. If I build a house and the foundation is 18" above grade I can use a non PT plate if I wish. There is no reason for PT unless you know that the wall leaks.

As mention the GEC does not need marking.
