Conduit Routing - Across Service Riser

Hopefully the picture explains the situation clearly. The meter on the far left is the main 200amp meter with double lugs. The house has a 100amp panel installed, leaving a 100amps for a 100amp panel in the detached garage.

The possible routes for the 100amp garage run from the meter are:

1) Straight down from meter to 24" below grade in Sch80, then direct-buried, routed across underground Service Conductor and Phone/Cable lines.

2) Straight down to 90? bend and horizontal across Service Riser above ground using separate piece of Sch80 spaced away from existing conduit. Then to another 90? down to 24" below grade, then direct-buried.

3) Out the left side of meter to 90? bend vertical. Then to another 90? horizontal above meters, then another 90? down to 24" below grade, then direct-buried.

I obviously need my route to be code compliant, but still the most aesthetically, cost-efficient, and safe way of routing.

I would like to avoid trenching near buried power if at all possible, which leaves option #2 and #3.

I would opt for option #2 due to less materials, better aesthetics, and shorter total cable run).

Option #3 would be my last resort, but if #2 is not code compliant, I would rather deal with the looks, labor, and cost for #3 than dig near other buried lines.

I have not seen someone route conduit as #2 shows, but that doesn't mean it couldn't be done.

Please advise! Opinions welcomed.

Thanks,

~Walter~
