Check specs/plans though ......

Got turned down on a job in south Florida where I used tie wire to secure emt to the bar joists, note in the plans said "all materials must be listed and identified for the purpose......"

Inspector would not let it go.

That can be taken too far, how many general purpose fasteners -screws, nails, anchors, etc. used to secure/support your equipment are listed? Might even be able to go as far as asking if the bar joists in your example listed/identified for the purpose?:blink:

As far as I know, No they don't. You can use a tie wire to strap the conduit.

Does 110.2 or 110.3 state a listing is required for material being installed? Not specifically UL.
