I could run a 400' vertical riser with 500 mcm, 4" rigid conduit, without a junction box, and be code compliant (it depends what material you use, job specs aside)
My boss had me looking for this answer back before I had the internet to help. He thought it was 100' but I never found anything to back that up. Guess this turned out to be a cold case I can close.
