Agreed.

The point of receptacles within the garage not counting as required countertop receptacles is why the nearest ones to each side cannot be farther than 24" away, even if that places then within 48" of the ones inside the garage.

In other words, start measuring 24" from the side of the garage, and not 48" from the one (or more) within it. Technically, a countertop lined completely with appliance garages requires no receptacles.

Allen, if there were no countertop, you wouldn't need 2 SABC's serving it. If it were nothing but wall-to-wall appliance garages, you could skip installing receptacles in them, period.

No George.Code says we must have 2 SA circuits for a kitchen.Perhaps just don't have a kitchen.Tell the inspector you only eat out

Yeah Jim but he would still want the 2 S.A. circuits to operate the toaster oven to reheat the next day. :D We can go over and above these min.requirements but they are not needed to pass and get a final.........
