hey Jim. Im in Saint petersbug/Clearwater area and have to work Tampa on ocassion and I have seen first hand some of the fine inspectors they have......had one come in and fail a temp pole he passed 8 months ago.....when he realized what he did he told us to forget it it was his mistake...what a winner.
Go a bit more north and see what me and Allen got to put up with.Actually i have few problems with hillsborough and city of tampa, they atleast apply some common since.

Some..I will agree. currently working a 48 unit condo in Clearwater. I hate residential but the forman there needed a lead so he begged me to help. not a bad job for res. work though.

Pay be enough and i might even wire another house. No forget that, nobody would pay me that much.

fixture is rated for damp location? yes? or fixture is rated for damp location only with such and such trims? if fixture is rated for damp location any trim that is installed in fixture is also rated for damp location. or am I missing something?

I am having the same problem with one of our State inspectors. I have talked to several factories. They all say that the housing is damp location rated and all of the trims are rated the same unless noted otherwise, i.e. 'Wet Location'. However, none of the catalogs state this and the factories import the trims from China. The trims by themselves do not have a listing.

My dilema is that without 'written proof' of damp location rating the inspector will not waiver. I am hoping that one of the factories will give me a letter stating that the housing is rated with the trim.
